  • Starting with a selection by Jerome Kern from 1936 (The Great American Songbook/Swing Era).
  • Then on to the Bebop Era with a 1947 Charlie Parker classic.
  • Next, the Hard Bop Era featuring Horace Silver song from 1954, where jazz was getting influenced by other styles. This song switches back and form from Swing to Latin within the song.
  • The concert will jump ahead to current day culminating with a Contemporary Jazz piece (2026) written by the band leader, Adam Smale.
