About This Item
McCoy Tyner was instrumental (no pun intended) in helping shape the new revolutionary Modal sound in the 1960’s. Along with his boss, John Coltrane, they developed a new sound that has now become common place today. Even though pianists play the language built upon what McCoy started, very few guitarist utilize his sound. Quartal Harmony, or 4th chords, is the topic of this lesson Adam teaches. What they are, how to use them, and getting you to practice using them in chord progressions and songs are just a few of the topics this lesson covers.
This is a great lesson if you want to get some of McCoy Tyner’s chords and vibe into your playing.
