Hey,
I one of my previous videos I mentioned that I was going to post a bunch of videos to Patreon to help learn your Pentatonic Scales. Basically, something that you as a Patron could use to practice anytime you want and get used to thinking Pentatonic Scales over chord progressions.
Unfortunately, some bad news, coupled with trying to look for a new apartment, all while still teaching, now both in-person recently as well as online, there is just not enough hours in a day or week to film anything much less edit any new videos.
On Saturday, I got the news that my Grandmother passed away. Not Covid related, she was 97 and lived a long prosperous life. Not too much to be sad about, except that because of Covid, I can’t travel back to Canada to be with family for a service.
The very next day I found out my best friend’s brother had passed away. Now 50 is too young. I spent a long time talking to my friend on the phone. Heart-wrenching.
Then just yesterday I learned that my brother was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I’m sure you can fill in the blanks here.
Needless to say it’s been a tough week. Oh, I mentioned that me and my girlfriend are looking for a new apartment, right? Well, let’s just say that apartment hunting in New York, can be… Let’s say, fun. The good news is we may have found a place today. Keep your fingers crossed that we get it. We have started the application process.
But soon will come packing, moving, and unpacking. So there may be another week or two, whenever that is, before I’m able to put out another video.
If I even get a chance to squeeze anything at all in this week, It may be a simple video of me repairing my Strymon OB.1 compressor pedal. It’s needed a new potentiometer, an electronic component that works the same as the volume control on an electric guitar, for sometime. Maybe some people will find it interesting. It’s not the usual content. But…
Sometimes life sucks, it just is what it is.
I thought I would let you know.
Well time to start repairing that compressor pedal while I actually have a couple of hours.
Talk soon,
Adam
